Weather Expectations
April is normally a warm month with an average temperature of 28°C. Despite the fact that there are 12 days of rain accounting for an average precipitation of 92mm, the temperatures are expected to soar throughout the month.
This sees an average high temperature of 32°C which drops to an average low temperature of 24°C.
WHAT TO BRING
Pack light, breathable clothing for the warm tropical days, and a light sweater for cooler evenings. Don’t forget your sunscreen, sandals, and a sun hat for beach days. Bug spray, a reusable water bottle (as tap water is not drinkable!) , and a pair of comfortable shoes for exploring are also great to have. Getting to Lombok
Lombok is easily accessible from several major international hubs. Whether you're traveling from Dubai, Europe, the UK, the US, or elsewhere, here’s how you can reach this beautiful island smoothly.
From Bali
Arriving through Bali is the most popular method of travel to Lombok. Many international travelers first fly into Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali, which has frequent connections to Lombok.
From Bali, you have two main options to arrive in Lombok:

By Air: A short 30-minute flight from Bali to Lombok International Airport (LOP) with airlines such as Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, and Wings Air.

By Sea: Take a fast boat from Bali (Padang Bai, Serangan, or Sanur) to Lombok (Bangsal or Senggigi). The journey takes 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the route.
Please reach out to your selected hotel to book your flights or ferry trips. There may be some restrictions with booking these trips depending on your time of arrival. For your convenience, we recommend you check these restrictions with the hotels before booking any flights into Bali.


To Lombok
Lombok International Airport (LOP) receives direct flights from several key cities in Asia and the Middle East, making it accessible without needing to transit through Bali.

From Dubai: Fly Emirates or other major airlines to Jakarta (CGK) or Kuala Lumpur (KUL), then take a connecting flight to Lombok.

From Kuala Lumpur: Direct flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) to Lombok (LOP) via AirAsia or Batik Air (approx. 3-hour f light).

From Singapore: Direct flights from Changi Airport (SIN) to Lombok (LOP) via Scoot or Batik Air (approx. 2.5-hour flight).

For those traveling from Europe, the UK, or the US, the best routes typically involve transiting through Dubai, Doha, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Jakarta before flying to Lombok.



To the Hotels
Please note that Lombok International Airport is anywhere from 2.5 to 3 hours away from the Oberoi Hotel, as well as the Lombok Lodge & The Marriott Al Sira.
If proceeding with the Boat Transit option, please note that the journey may take you up to 4 hours, with the car transit to any of the hotels taking between 15-25 minutes only.
We encourage all guests to be aware of the above for their ease of transit and expectations when arriving.

You must have a visa to visit Indonesia.

The visa costs 500,000 Indonesian rupiah (~£25 GBP). It is valid for single entry only. You must apply for a visa at least a week before you leave on the Indonesian immigration website. You will find options to apply for a multiple-entry visa or a 60-day visa.

To Note Before Travelling
Suitcase Restrictions
Please note that most domestic flights from Bali to Lombok allow a limit of 20KG per person in suitcase weight. We advise those who are interested in carrying luggage over that limit to book with Jakarta Garuda Airlines (Business Class) to
avail 30KG per person at no additional cost.
For all domestic flights, please note that additional weight past the allowed limit will be chargeable.
Customs Declarations
We urge & remind all our guests to fill in their customs declarations forms at least 5 full days before arriving into Indonesia. Failure to do so on time will result in standing in long queues at the airport, which may span hours.
